June 2015

For some of us the arrival of June brings trepidation, because school is ending and we have to figure out what to do with the children every day. It can also bring excitement for upcoming vacations to see family, venture to new locations, or maybe relax in the comfort of familiar beach spots. For others the summer may not alter your day-to-day routine at all. I do hope each and every one of you have a wonderful, safe, healthy, and happy summer whether you are spending it here in town or much of it away.

The summer is short so do take advantage of your time with the kids and give them experiences they will remember. There are many options of things to do so look at our calendar and join us for strawberry picking, or park and ice cream play dates, swim play dates, hikes, the End of School Party, among others. If you don’t see something on the calendar that you’d like to attend but want company please do post it to the loop and you might get some friends to join you. We are always looking for new events to add to the calendar so be sure to let Ashton or Amanda know your ideas. We are always very happy to hear from our members, old and new!

One last item that I’d like to put forward is regarding book club. Book club has been on a bit of a hiatus and I would like to have it start back up again. If there is anyone that is interested in serving as the Secretary let me know or post it to the subgroup that you are interested in this position. We need a Secretary to organize the group and to keep it moving from month to month with the selection of books, providing the forum for people to submit their ideas, as well as the organization of meetings and finding hosts. If you are new to the club and wish to join book club please sign up under the subgroups on Big Tent and I expect you will find much enjoyment in meeting new friends in the club.

Happy June everyone!
