From a modest beginning highlighting three programs throughout the summer, the series has grown to feature eight, full-length performances by some of the most sought-after childrenâ€™s performers in the region.Â Kidsâ€™ sensationsÂ LaurieÂ BerknerÂ andÂ MilkshakeÂ have both been part of the series, exposing more children than ever to the magic of the performing arts.
The Great Frederick Fairgrounds features 44 buildings and over 40 acres of limitless opportunities.Â Located in Frederick, Maryland, our property is easily accessible off I-70, I-270 and U.S. 15 and from downtown Frederick.Â We are less than an hourâ€™s drive from Baltimore and Washington, D.C., and surrounding areas.Â Seven commercial buildings are available for daily rental use ranging from $300 to $1,600 per day.
Featured at The Great Frederick Fairgrounds is the Null Building, 11,940 sq. ft. facility, that can easily seat groups of 500, and hold up to 900 people for any single event.Â Featuring its own sound system, Wi-Fi accessibility, restrooms, and full heating and air conditioning, the Null Building can host your special event for a variety of uses from wedding receptions, galas, expos and shows, and much more!

The 9th Annual Middletown â€˜Scarecrow Contestâ€™, sponsored by The Middletown Arts & Activities Council (MAAC), is scheduled for October 22nd.Â All residents, organizations and Middletown businesses are invited to participate in this popular community event!
Kits will be available beginning September 26th at the Municipal Center and handed out on a first-come first-served basis.Â Â Â Scarecrows are due back to the Municipal Center by October 21st.Â MAAC asks to please return all unused materials to the Municipal Center.
The Scarecrows will be hung on the morning of October 22nd and will be taken down on November 1st.Â Vote for your favorite Scarecrow on October 22nd from 2-5 in front of the Municipal Center.
Awards will be given afterward for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners, and Burgessâ€™ Choice in TWO CATEGORIES â€“Individual/Family & Business/Organization.
Plan on decorating a trunk for the event? Download and complete this registration form. Award categories include, most creative, best use of a bible story, and best overall trunk.
Middletownâ€™s Annual Christmas in the Valley is Saturday, December 3, 2016 starting at 4:00pm.Â Please bring an unwrapped toy and receive a Santa Sack from Main Street Middletown.Â Visit participating businesses between 4:00 and 7:00 that evening and have your Santa Sack filled with goodies.Â Toys will be distributed by Middletown People Helping People.
